SEATTLE, WASH. -After earning a point in a 1-1 draw with Minnesota United FC on Sunday, Sounders FC continues its road stretch against Austin FC on Wednesday, August 30 at Q2 Stadium (5:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
Seattle holds 2-1-2 record against Austin since the Texas side joined the league in 2021. The lone loss came earlier this year on May 17 at Lumen Field.
The matchup features two teams fighting for playoff position. Seattle currently sits in third place with 37 points, five points clear of the playoff line. Austin sits in ninth place, the final playoff position, with 32 points.
Following Wednesday's match, Seattle returns home to face Cascadia rival Portland Timbers on Saturday, September 2 (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
