August 30, 2023 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Chicago Fire FC News Release
CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC and Celsius Holdings, Inc., maker of lifestyle energy drink, CELSIUS®, today announced a multiyear partnership agreement naming CELSIUS® the Exclusive Energy Drink of Chicago Fire FC. Through the agreement, CELSIUS®, will become an official partner of the Fire, receiving in-stadium activations on home matchdays at Soldier Field, with branding featured across day-to-day Club assets, including website, social media content, and advertising. As part of this partnership, CELSIUS® will also receive branding at the Chicago Fire's new Performance Center and will be integrated into first team training gear. As CELSIUS® was recently named the official energy drink of Major League Soccer (MLS), the partnership with Chicago Fire FC continues to expand the company's presence in the world of professional soccer.
"We're thrilled to bring Celsius aboard as the Exclusive Energy Drink of Chicago Fire FC and welcome them as the first sponsor of our new Performance Center," said Chicago Fire FC President of Business Operations, Dave Baldwin. "CELSIUS® is a perfect partner to integrate into our Performance Center, as their brand is all about staying energized and living fit every day. With our new world-class facility, our players will be able train daily at the highest level as they strive to achieve their goals on the pitch."
Through the multiyear partnership, CELSIUS® will receive a variety of in-stadium activations, including their role as presenting sponsor of a Chicago Fire home match at Soldier Field each season, beginning with the upcoming October 4 match versus Inter Miami. The partnership also includes the integration of CELSIUS® throughout pre-match promotional materials distributed by the Fire, inclusive of email marketing, social media, digital advertising, and more. CELSIUS® will also be featured in-stadium with highly visible LED and videoboard rotational signage. Fans will also be able to sample select CELSIUS® flavors at engaging activations during select matches located at main stadium entrances and in supporter tailgating areas. CELSIUS® will also have the opportunity to interact with Chicago Fire FC's dedicated fanbase through custom sweepstakes allowing Fire fans the chance to win exclusive experiences, tickets, and merchandise, with support across Chicago Fire social platforms.
As the first partner to sign-on as a sponsor of the new, state-of-the-art training facility, CELSIUS® will receive branding within the Chicago Fire's new Performance Center. This includes being featured as entitlement sponsor of the facility's "CELSIUS® Fuel Bar," available to Chicago Fire players and staff. Additionally, CELSIUS® will be integrated into first team training gear, with the brand's logo being featured on the team's wearable GPS trackers which are used to track player data on various aspects of performance.
CELSIUS® will be integrated into the matchday experience as the Club returns to the lakefront on Wednesday, Aug. 30 as the Chicago Fire host Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Soldier Field at 7:30 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on Apple TV, streamed on wlsam.com, and transmitted locally in Spanish on TUDN 1200 AM. Tickets for the Fire's Aug. 30 match versus Vancouver Whitecaps FC are available for purchase.
