Tacoma Defiance News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC 2 midfielder Giuliano Frano has been named to the USL Team of the Week for Week Four of the 2015 season. Frano scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute to secure 2-1 win over previously unbeaten Portland Timbers 2.
At least one S2 player has been named to USL Team of the Week for each match the club has played this season. Week Four marks Frano's second selection after being named in Week One along with Pablo Rossi and Andy Craven, while Darwin Jones earned the honor in Week Two following his hat trick against Whitecaps FC 2.
After three straight home wins to start the club's inaugural USL season, including Saturday night's late victory over Timbers 2, Sounders FC 2 (3-0-0, 9 points) has a short week of training before traveling to Oklahoma for its first two away matches of the season against Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The Rave Green are one of two unbeaten teams remaining in the USL Western Conference, tied with Arizona United SC for first place, and its plus-seven goal differential is the highest in the league.
Members of the media wishing to attend training sessions should contact Branden Griffith in order to receive the most current information, as training times, locations and player availability are subject to change.
