Saint Louis FC News Release
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - STL FC Midfielder Brandon Barklage has been named to the USL Team of the Week following his performance against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday night.
The St. Louis native scored the team's only goal in a 1-1 draw against Pittsburgh and was a force at both ends of the pitch for Saint Louis FC.
In the 44th minute, Barklage put the hosts on the board by redirecting a corner kick from Patrick Doody. It was Barklage's first goal as a member of his hometown club.
This is the second straight week in which a member of STL FC has been honored on the USL Team of the Week. Goalkeeper Mark Pais and forward Jermie Lynch were nominated last week following a 2-0 win against Tulsa Roughnecks FC.
Saint Louis FC will be back in action this Saturday when it takes on the Rochester Rhinos at the World Wide Technology Soccer Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
