Bridgeport, Conn. - In his third game with the Sound Tigers, Jon Sim scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Sound Tigers to a 6-3 win over the Hartford Wolf Pack. For the Sound Tigers, the win completed a three-games in three-nights stretch that began Friday against the Binghamton Senators and culminated in tonight's victory. Jeremy Colliton also scored two goals and an assist and was named the game's second star behind Sim. Trevor Smith and Tyler Haskins rounded out the scoring for the Sound Tigers with a goal apiece. Tommy Pyatt, Patrick Rissmiller and Mike Ouellette had the three tallies for the Wolf Pack. Peter Mannino played well in goal for the Sound Tigers, stopping 21 shots in route to his 12th win of the season. With the win, the Sound Tigers pull into a tie with the Hershey Bears for the top spot in the East Division with a 39-18-3-5 record, giving them 86 points.

Sim opened the scoring only two minutes into the first period while the Sound Tigers were on the power-play. Junior Lessard fed a pass to Chris Lee at the center-point where he wristed a soft shot on goal that Sim was able to tip past Hartford starting goalie, Miika Wiikman for his third goal of the season. About ten minutes later, he Wolf Pack would score a near identical goal when Tommy Pyatt scored on a seeing eye shot that snuck through Mannino for his 15th goal of the season. Pierre Parenteau had the only assist on the goal coming on the Wolf Pack's man-advantage.

The Sound Tigers would reclaim their lead at the halfway mark of the second period when Colliton finished a great passing sequence with Sim for his seventh marker of the season. Once again with the Sound Tigers on the man-advantage, Mannino fed a long breakout pass from deep in his zone to Sim at the far blue-line. As Colliton was breaking to the net from the bench, Sim saucered a pass to him in stride where he wristed a shot past Wiikman to give the Sound Tigers a 2-1 lead. Four minutes later, Sim would use his veteran savvy to double the Sound Tigers' lead to 3-1. Hartford defenseman, Jared Nightingale set-up behind his own net and was flushed out as Sim pressured him from the right side. As the Wolf Pack defenseman skated out, he fumbled the puck and Sim reached around and puck it under Wiikman for his fourth goal in three nights.

Less than a minute into the third, Colliton would tally his second goal of the game and eighth of the season. Chris Lee received a pass from Trevor Smith in the Hartford zone, along the far half-wall and walked in towards Wiikman. Faking a shot, Lee snuck a pass under a Wolf Pack defenseman onto Colliton's stick where he wristed a shot past the Hartford goalie's glove for the 4-1 Sound Tiger lead. Two minutes later, Smith would make it a four-goal lead when he snapped a shot through Wiikman's legs for his team-leading 27th tally of the season. Colliton and Gleed assisted on Smith's goal. Patrick Rissmiller and Mike Ouellette would make the game interesting with two goals late in the third period but Haskins would seal the victory with an empty net tally, his ninth of the season to finish the scoring at 6-3.

Mannino finished the game with 21 saves on 24 shots to earn the win while Wiikman made 22 saves. The Sound Tigers were 2-for-4 on the power-play and 4-for-5 on the penalty-kill.

The Sound Tigers will hit the road for their next four games before returning home on March 20 when they take on the Worcester Sharks at 7 p.m. for the first time this season at Arena at Harbor Yard.
