A Memorable Weekend

The Steelheads had their most productive weekend of the season. The Steelheads battled divisional rival Barrie Colts on home ice through a hard-fought sixty minutes before dropping a 3-2 decision in overtime.

Steelheads netminder Joe Ranger was rock solid in between the pipes, stopping 27 of 30 shots. Forward Luca DelBelBelluz provided an absolute beauty of a goal early in the third period, worthy of goal-of-the-year in the Ontario Hockey League.

On the following night, the Steelheads strolled down the 403 to take on the Hamilton Bulldogs. In a terrific back-and-forth contest, rookie forward Zander Veccia scored his first career OHL goal, and Owen Beck's shootout winner propelled the Steelheads to a 3-2 come-from-behind win.

Back to the Limestone City

The Steelheads return to Kingston for a rematch against the Frontenacs. In the first game of the year, the Steelheads showed their offensive firepower, scoring three goals in both the first and second periods, en route to the 7-2 win. Steelheads netminder Joe Ranger was excellent in net, stopping 33 of 35 shots, and Luca DelBelBelluz with the career-high 3 points (2G, 1A) in the victory.

905 Rematch

For the third time in 12 days, the Steelheads face off with their 905 counterparts - the Hamilton Bulldogs. Both teams exchanged victories on the road, with the Bulldogs taking the series opener 4-2 on October 24 and the Steelheads prevailing in the thrilling shootout 3-2 win at the First Ontario Centre.

IceDogs Come to Town

The Niagara IceDogs travel to the Paramount Fine Foods Centre for the first time this season as they face off against the Steelheads. Although in their last meeting at the Meridian Centre on October 23, the Steelheads outshot the IceDogs 31-23, they couldn't overcome a tough second period as they fell 4-2.
