The Storm are back on the road this week starting off with another trip down highway 7 to visit the Kitchener Rangers. The puck drops at 7:00pm.
The Guelph Storm come off an impressive weekend winning 2 out of the 3 games over their 3 in 3. After losing 6-3 to the Windsor Spitfires, Guelph came back home to beat the Owen Sound Attack 9-4 and the Soo Greyhounds 4-1. The Storm now sit 4th in the conference with a record of 5-4-1-0 which is just 1 point back of the Rangers who are in 3rd. The weekend featured a hat trick from Sasha Pastujov against the Attack Friday night, and a 1 goal 3-point night for Matthew Poitras on Saturday night against the Soo. This week for the Storm has them visiting the Rangers tonight then going to the Soo for back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday.
The Kitchener Rangers host the Storm for the 5th matchup of the season. Kitchener were able to break their 3-game losing streak on Saturday when they beat the Windsor Spitfires 6-3. With a record of 6-3-0-0 the Rangers sit 3rd in the conference just behind the Soo Greyhounds. The Rangers will be looking to get back on a winning streak after only winning 2 of their last 5 games. But with the Rangers coming off a win they will have some confidence heading into tonight and will make for tonights highway 7 rivalry game to be an exciting one.

Guelph Storm - Matthew Poitras
In the last two games Poitras has been able to put up 1 goal and 5 points, with his season totals being 4 goals and 10 points. The NHL draft eligible rookie is impressing in his first OHL season, after being drafted to Guelph in 2020 Poitras had to wait to make his debut. But since then, he's been able to be a point per game with 10 points in 10 games.
Kitchener Rangers - Joseph Serpa
Serpa in his 3rd season in the OHL has had a hot start with 13 points in 9 games. Currently on a 2-game point streak where he put up 4 points, Serpa has the team lead for assists and points with 9 assists and 13 points. Serpa who has been performing well recently is the player to watch on the Rangers in tonight's highway 7 rivalry matchup.
