
Somerset Patriots Sign Catcher John Pachot

Bridgewater, NJ - The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced the signing of catcher John Pachot.
Before joining the Patriots, Pachot played winter ball in the Puerto Rico Baseball League and just finished the playoffs.
He split time during the 2010 season with Tabasco of the Mexican League and the York Revolution. He batted .322 for York, driving in 45 RBI in 84 games. He played a major role in helping the Revolution capture the 2010 Atlantic League Championship.
In 2009 he batted .248 with 42 RBI in 101 games for Long Island. He spent the 2008 season with the Newark Bears, hitting .259 with RBI and eight homeruns in 70 games.
Pachot has a minor league career average of .261 with 67 homeruns and 644 RBI in 1453 games.
In addition to his time in the Mexican League, Pachot has five seasons of experience at the Triple-A Level with the Montreal Expos, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, and Florida Marlins organizations.
Pachot has been activated for tonight's game against York.
