CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa â The airfare has been arranged, as have the tickets for fun and games.
All you have to do is show up for today's Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball game. The Kernels host the West Michigan Whitecaps today at 5 p.m. at New Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Kernels beat the Whitecaps, 5-2, Friday night to open their four-game series.
One lucky fan will win airfare for four and tickets to see an Anaheim Angels game and visit Disneyland during tonight's Kernels game, courtesy of The Fox 100.7 on Tips for Trips Night.
Fans 18 and older will receive one ticket for the drawing, which will be conducted following the bottom half of the seventh inning. Fans can earn extra tickets by tipping Fox 100.7 disc jockeys, who will be vending beverages at designated portables. The money collected as tips will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Tonight's game also is Breast Cancer Awareness Night. One lucky fan will win a special pink chair that has been signed by members of the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The chair will be a second prize in the drawing.
Don't forget, Sunday is Mercy Medical Center Heart to Heart Baseball Cap Day. The first 1,000 women age 18 and older will receive a free navy blue cap courtesy of the Mercy Women's Center and its Heart to Heart program.
The ticket office opens at 10 a.m. Gates open today at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Sunday's game will be televised by Fox 28/40.
