Windsor Spitfires News Release
(Flint, MI) - Forward Markus Soberg and goaltender Garret Hughson have elected to leave the club, General Manager Warren Rychel has announced.
"Markus has opted to explore some opportunities in Europe and Garret is headed back to Alberta," Rychel said. "I respect their decisions and wish them best of luck in their future pursuits."
Soberg, 20, appeared in 83 games over parts of two seasons in Windsor, scoring 16 goals and adding 22 assists.
Hughson, 20, played in 12 games with the club after being acquired in a trade with the Spokane Chiefs back in October, compiling a 7-4-1 record along with a 3.09 goals against average and an .895 save percentage.
The departures open up two overage spots on the Spitfires roster.
