
Snappers Lose Pitchers' Duel, Lose Ground in Playoff Chase

Notes: The Snappers lost a 1-0 pitcher's duel to their in-state rival the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Kevin Slowey was the hard luck loser for Beloit. Slowey struck out seven and allowed one run in six and two thirds innings of work. Neither team scored until Wisconsin scored a run in the top of the seventh. The Timber Rattlers out hit the Snappers 6-4.
Playoff Notes: The Snappers and Kane County are tied for the wildcard playoff spot with two games to play. The Snappers have the tie breaker advantage over Kane County and would make the playoffs if the two teams ended the season tied.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers and Timber Rattlers play game three of a four game series Sunday, September 4th at Pohlman Field. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
