Beloit Sky Carp News Release

Today's game between the Beloit Snappers and Kane County Cougars has been postponed due to weather. With snow in today's forecast for most of the day, the Cougars decided to postpone today's 6:00 game, and make it part of a double-header tomorrow.

Tomorrow's double-header at Kane County is scheduled for 12:00 pm. The double-header will consist of two, seven inning games with a thirty minute break in between.

"Kane County is going through a lot of what we had to deal with last week," said General Manager Jeff Vohs. "This weather has really put a damper on not only our games, but the whole Midwest League. Hopefully "Mother Nature" will reward us later on in the summer for what we've been through so far this season."

Only 38 more days until former Chicago Cub and new Peoria Chiefs' manager, Ryne Sandberg, makes his first appearance in Beloit! Sandberg and his Chiefs will take on the Snappers on May 19-20 and again June 21-24. Tickets are going fast!

Don't forget, Snappy has two tickets on him at all times when he is outside of Pohlman Field. Be the first to spot Snappy in public and shout "Snapper-tastic." He will then be forced to give you two tickets to a Snappers home game. Make sure you are the first to spot him because he is only able to carry two tickets on him at a time.

Season Tickets, Group Discounts, and Picnic Packages are still available. Contact a Snappers' Representative at 608-362-2272, www.snappersbaseball.com, or at Pohlman Field located at 2301 Skyline Dr. in Beloit for more information.
