Beloit Sky Carp News Release

The Beloit Jaycees Junior Chamber will be hosting a Pitch, Hit, & Run camp on Sunday, April 15th at Pohlman Field. This camp, sponsored by Pepsi and Major League Baseball, will have registration at 11:00 am and begin competition at noon.

Pitch, Hit, & Run is the perfect opportunity for children, 14 and under, to test out their baseball skills on a major league field. Boys and girls will compete together in four different age groups: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. Winners will advance and compete at the regional competition.

Kids will have a chance to compete at three different stations:

- Pitch off the mound and be tested on speed and accuracy

- Hit off a tee and be judged on distance and accuracy

- Run the bases and be tested on speed

This is a FREE event that takes place at Pohlman Field, the home of the Beloit Snappers. Pohlman Field is located at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit. Bring a copy of your birth certificate and/or baptismal record. Call 608-362-2272 for more information.

In just 38 days, former Chicago Cub and new Peoria Chiefs' manager, Ryne Sandberg, will be coming to Beloit! Sandberg and his Chiefs will take on the Snappers on May 19-20 and again June 21-24. Get your tickets now!

Season Tickets, Group Discounts, and Picnic Packages are still available. Contact a Snappers' Representative at 608-362-2272, www.snappersbaseball.com, or at Pohlman Field located at 2301 Skyline Dr. in Beloit for more information.

Don't forget, Snappy has two tickets on him at all times when he is outside of Pohlman Field. Be the first to spot Snappy in public and shout "Snapper-tastic." He will then be forced to give you two tickets to a Snappers home game. Make sure you are the first to spot him because he is only able to carry two tickets on him at a time.
