New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH- The pitching match-ups have been announced for the three-game series between the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, beginning tomorrow night, May 26, at Merchantsauto.com Stadium. Sea Dogs officials have announced that Red Sox pitcher John Smoltz (0-0, 0.00) is confirmed as the starting pitcher for Portland, making a rehabilitation start against Fisher Cats' right-hander Randy Boone (3-1, 4.37) in tomorrow night's 7:05pm game in Manchester.
On Wednesday night, May 27, Portland sends left-hander Felix Doubront (3-2, 3.11) to the mound against Fisher Cats right-hander Rey Gonzalez (2-2, 1.80) in a 7:05pm game. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Travis Snider T-Shirt, courtesy of U.S. Cellular.
In the series finale, Thursday, May 28, Portland right-hander Junichi Tazawa (4-3, 2.74) will oppose New Hampshire righty Brandon Magee (2-1, 5.40) in an 11:05am EnergyNorth Propane Educational Day Game.
