
Smokies' Bats Slug It in Game One Win

KODAK, TN- The Smokies bounced back from an 11-2 loss on Sunday in a 9-2 win on Tuesday night. Tennessee out-hit Chattanooga 12-3, with four Smokies recording a multi-hit game.
Tennessee climbed all over Chattanooga early when Cole Roederer slapped a single to make it 1-0, followed by a three-run home run from catcher Pablo Aliendo to make it 4-0 after the first. The Smokies would outscore Chattanooga 5-2 the rest of the game to win it 9-2.
The reigning Southern League Player of The Week, Tennessee Smokies outfielder Owen Caissie was 3-for-4 with three RBI's, including two home runs to take the Southern League lead with 20. Tennessee third baseman BJ Murray was a home run away from the cycle after going 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
The Smokies pen was lock down tonight, tossing four innings of hitless and scoreless baseball, to seal the deal in a 9-2 win. Tennessee will play again tomorrow night in game two versus the Lookouts. Chicago Cubs first round pick in 2022, Cade Horton will make his first Double-A start. First pitch is set for 7 P.M.
