
Skyhawks Use Big Fourth Quarter to Pick up Win over Erie

ERIE, PA - The College Park Skyhawks used a 41-point fourth quarter and a balanced attack on offense to beat the Erie BayHawks on the road Saturday night, 133-124. With the win, the Skyhawks improve to 19-18 overall on the season and 2-1 against Erie.
After a close first quarter, the two teams headed into the half tied at 67 points apiece. In a game that featured 26 lead changes, College Park held a 92-90 advantage at the end of the third quarter. Armoni Brooks connected on a three-pointer to open the fourth and the Skyhawks kept the momentum, going on a 9-2 run. Erie managed to cut the deficit to four points with under two minutes to play, but Jordan Sibert nailed a three to diffuse the threat and College Park held on for the win.
Nick Ward led the Skyhawks with a double-double, going for 25 points and 11 rebounds. Sibert finished with 21 points (5-9 from three), pacing the Skyhawks in the first half with 14 points. Charlie Brown, Jr. added 21 points and nine boards, while Tahjere McCall scored 11 points to go with eight rebounds and six assists. Off the bench, Brooks finished with 21 points and Cat Barber added 20 to round out the scoring effort.
The Skyhawks take on the Canton Charge on the road on Feb. 25, before returning home for a Feb. 27 game against the Capital City Go-Go.
