
Skyforce Wins Third-Straight in 126-110 Rout of Ignite

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce handled NBA G League Ignite 126-110 in the team's first home regular season game of the season at the Sanford Pentagon on New Years Eve.
The victory also marked the best start to the regular season since 2018-19 and head coach Kasib Powell became the fourth coach in franchise history to secure 60 wins with the franchise.
Miami HEAT assignee Orlando Robinson secured his sixth consecutive double-double in a Skyforce uniform with 24 points on 10-18 FGA and 12 rebounds.
Despite leading by as many 34 points later in the game, Sioux Falls (3-0) got out to a slow start. G League Ignite (0-3) took an 18-11 lead to the 4:11 mark of the first. The Skyforce responded with a 17-10 to end the period and tie the contest at 28-apiece.
Sioux Falls produced their highest scoring quarter of the season in the second, going for 43 points on 16-23 FGA. It helped push a 71-57 lead to intermission.
Robinson, HEAT two-way player Cole Swider, Caleb Daniels and Jamaree Bouyea combined for 32 of Sioux Falls' 40 third quarter points, as they took a 111-82 lead with 12 minutes remaining.
Matas Buzelis scored 12 of his 16 points in the final frame for G League Ignite, as they were able to outscore the Force by 13 points.
Bouyea secured 19 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, while Swider netted 19 points on 7-11 FGA. Caleb Daniels led off the bench with 15 points, as Justin Champagnie posted 14 points and 10 rebounds.
John Jenkins led Ignite with 22 points on 7-13 FGA.
Both teams meet for the series finale on Tuesday at 6:30 PM CST.
