FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends (2-1) finished the year on a high note with a 121-110 victory over the South Bay Lakers (0-2) in front of a sold-out home crowd. The Legends' three former North Carolina stars all finished with double-doubles led by a season-standout night from Tony Bradley.
The Legends grabbed the first basket and later hit a 12-0 streak to take their first double-digit lead of the night. The visitors responded and pulled within two before the first buzzer to set the tone for a close match. The second quarter saw eight lead changes, but Tony Bradley put on a show hitting 6-of-6 and grabbing 4 boards and a block to make sure Texas held the advantage 59-55 at the break.
Shaquille Harrison lit up the third, finishing with 11 of South Bay's 28 points but the home team found luck beyond the arc and maintained their lead with a 47% three-point rate. The Legends found their rhythm in the fourth, spreading the offensive attack with all active players landing on the board. South Bay's Joirdon Nicholas opened the final minutes with a putback to make it a three-point game, but Texas responded with eight straight and held a double-digit difference through most of the quarter.
