Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release

Sioux Falls, S.D. (December 4, 2007) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce will host a basketball clinic prior to the game against the Idaho Stampede on Friday, Dec. 7 from 4:30-6 p.m. The clinic will be conducted by Minnesota Timberwolves Assistant General Manager Rob Babcock with the assistance of Skyforce coaches and players. The clinic is free for all boys and girls in grades K-8 who have a ticket to Friday night's game.

"I'm very excited to be conducting this free basketball clinic for Sioux Falls Skyforce fans," said Rob Babcock, assistant general manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves. "It will be a great opportunity to teach kids some fundamentals of the game and to have fun doing it."

Friday night's game, which is sponsored by Royal River Casino, will be the first of two NBA affiliate nights this season as the Skyforce players will be outfitted in the home uniforms of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Fans will be able to place a bid on their favorite player's uniform until the end of the third quarter. Winners of the uniforms will be announced throughout the fourth quarter of the game and all of the proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Children's Inn, an emergency shelter for women and children in Sioux Falls who are victims of domestic violence and child abuse.

In addition to the uniforms, Crunch, the Timberwolves mascot, will be in attendance to entertain fans during the game and at halftime. Crunch will also hold an autograph session from 6:20-6:45 p.m.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce's next game is on Tuesday, Dec. 4 on the road against the Idaho Stampede. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT at Qwest Arena. For information on group, season and single game tickets please contact a Skyforce representative at (605) 332-0605.
