
Skyforce Acquires McDowell

Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release
Sioux Falls, S.D. (March 9, 2011) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired guard Stephen McDowell from the available player pool. To make room for him on the roster the team waived guard Anthony Harris due to injury. He is expected to be in uniform for tonight's road game against the Texas Legends at 7 p.m. CT. The active roster now stands at 10 players.
McDowell holds NBA Development League career averages of 7.4 points and 2.3 assists in 38 games (eight starts) with the Bakersfield Jam (3), New Mexico Thunderbirds (32) and Austin Toros (3). He scored a season-high 25 points to go along with six rebounds and three steals for New Mexico on Jan. 10. The 6-0, 180-pound guard was named All-Southern Conference First Team after averaging 18.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 35 games (all starts) as a senior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2008-09.
