
Sky Sox Open 2016 Home Schedule with Action-Packed Promotions

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Colorado Springs Sky Sox return to Security Service Field for the first time this season on Friday, April 15 to begin an eight-game homestand with back-to-back four-game sets against the Memphis Redbirds, top affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Nashville Sounds, top affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. Friday's home opener is scheduled for 6:35 PM MDT against Memphis.
The Sky Sox have a full docket of exciting promotions set for the season opening homestand, starting immediately with a Magnet Schedule Giveaway for all fans presented by Ace Hardware on Opening Night. Following the game, Fireworks presented by Gray Line will light up the sky to the tune of classic baseball songs. Magnet schedules will be given out for the duration of the homestand for as long as supplies last.
On Saturday, the Flying Houndz Frizbee Trick Dog Show will be performing at Security Service Field before and during the game. It will be a treat for everyone in attendance.
On Sunday, April 17 the first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive a Sky Sox team poster courtesy of SSFCU. Fans will also get the opportunity to have their poster autographed by the entire team during a team autograph signing from 12-12:30 p.m. Sunday's game is also Sox the Fox's Birthday Party, and everyone is welcome to celebrate with the Sky Sox mascot on his big day.
"Must-Win Monday" returns on April 18, guaranteeing a free ticket to a future Monday game at Security Service Field during the 2016 season with a Sox win and valid ticket from the game. Monday is also a Kids Eat Free day, courtesy of ARC Thrift Store.
Another fan favorite, $2 Tuesday, is back for the Nashville series opener on April 19, thanks to South Colorado Springs Nissan. Fans can enjoy $2 tickets, parking and Coors and Coors Light for the entirety of the ballgame.
Wednesday's matinee game is a Math Day presented by UCCS and DECA day. First pitch is scheduled for 11:05 a.m.
The Sky Sox will wrap up their first homestand of the season with two more unique promotions starting with $3 Craft Brew Thursday presented by RMC/Coors on April 21. The last pitch on Friday night will be followed by Fireworks presented by Heuberger Motors set to classic country music, capping a great game and concluding the Sky Sox first 2016 homestand.
