
Skelton's Walk-Off RBI Hit Leads to Patriots Sweep

Bridgewater, NJ - The Somerset Patriots (12-6) edged the Lancaster Barnstormers (6-15) 2-1 in 10 innings Thursday evening from TD Bank Ballpark. Catcher James Skelton ripped a walk-off RBI single to propel the Patriots to the series sweep over the reigning Atlantic League Champions.
In the bottom of the first inning third baseman David Vidal stroked a RBI single to give Somerset a 1-0 advantage.
Lancaster evened the contest at 1-1 in the top of the second inning when pitcher Randy Boone hurled a wild pitch that plated shortstop Lance Zawadzki.
This was Somerset's fourth walk-off win of the season and their sixth win in its final at-bat through the first 18 games of 2015.
R.J. Seidel (2-0) earned the win in relief. Brian Morgado (0-2) suffered the loss in relief.
