
Skeeters Losing Streak Pushed to Five with 5-2 Loss to Bees

SUGAR LAND, TX - The Sugar Land Skeeters lost their fifth consecutive game on Wednesday night, falling to the New Britain Bees 5-2. With the loss, the Skeeters are now only two games ahead of York for 1st place in the Freedom Division.
Michael Crouse' solo shot gave the Bees a 1-0 lead in the 1st. The Skeeters responded in the 5th starting with Patrick Palmeiro's solo homer that he parked in the Wells Fargo Picnic Plaza to tie the game at 1-1. Delwyn Young followed by singling home Rene Tosoni to give the Skeeters a 2-1 lead. Cole Garner tied the game back up in the 6th with an RBI single that scored Greg Golson.
James Skelton gave the Bees a 3-2 lead on an RBI single in the 7th that scored Jake McGuiggan. The Bees added two more runs later in the inning on Cole Garner's RBI single that put the Bees up 5-2. Shawn Gilblair came on in the 9th to record his 15th save of the season.
