SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled F John McCarthy from the Worcester Sharks (AHL) and assigned F Matt Pelech to Worcester.
In 65 games for Worcester in 2012-13, McCarthy posted 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists).
The six-foot-one, 195-pound native of Boston, Massachusetts was selected by San Jose in the seventh round (202nd overall) of the 2006 NHL Draft.
