Checkers Announce 2013-14 Season-Opening Roster

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Checkers general manager and head coach Jeff Daniels announced today the team's 2013-14 season-opening roster. The Checkers will begin the season tonight in Oklahoma City at 8 p.m. ET.
The roster is as follows:
Forwards: Nicolas Blanchard, Kyle Bonis, Zach Boychuk, Adam Brace, Stefan Della Rovere, Sean Dolan, Manny Malhotra, Matt Marquardt, Aaron Palushaj, Victor Rask, Justin Shugg, Jared Staal, Brody Sutter, Chris Terry, Brendan Woods
Defensemen: Danny Biega, Matt Corrente, Mark Flood, Michal Jordan, Keegan Lowe, Rasmus Rissanen, Beau Schmitz
Goaltenders: Mike Murphy, Justin Peters
The Checkers open the season with a two-game set in Oklahoma City tonight and tomorrow before returning to Charlotte for Opening Night, presented by Hendrick MINI, on Saturday, Oct. 19. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or the Time Warner Cable Arena box office.
