Summary
Johnathan Rodriguez and Julian Escobedo launch back-to-back sixth inning home runs to back Hunter Stanley's seven innings of one run ball to best the Bowie Baysox 4-1 on Thursday night at Canal Park.
Turning Point
After Bowie jumped ahead 1-0, the RubberDucks looked to answer back in the sixth. Bryan Lavastida worked a two-out walk to keep the inning alive. Rodriguez followed with a two-run shot to the ribbon board in left to put Akron on top 2-1. Escobedo followed Rodriguez's homer with a solo home run into the Cutwater Tiki Terrace to make it 3-1 RubberDucks.
Mound Presence

Stanley's great work on the mound was backed by Escobedo, who made two incredible catches in center. Randy Labaut followed Stanley's cue by working two scoreless innings to pick up the save.
