Zebulon, NC --- Despite a last-place finish in the first half, the Carolina Mudcats placed six players on the Northern Division All-Star team, second most of any team in the division.

IFs Jake Kahaulelio, Mike Costanzo, OFs Sean Henry, Dave Sappelt and Ps Matt Klinker and Tom Cochran were named to the squad late yesterday afternoon. First-half champion Tennessee had eight representatives on the team.

Kahaulelio leads the Mudcats with seven home runs and 33 RBI, while Klinker currently leads the Southern League in ERA. Sappelt enters tonight's game as the league-leader in batting, while Sean Henry has floated around the .300 mark most of the season. Cochran has four victories and has been entrenched in the top 10 in ERA for the last several weeks. Costanzo was named to the team despite beginning this season in independent ball, joining the Mudcats in May.

The Southern League mid-season classic will be played July 12th in Huntsville, AL at Joe Davis Stadium.
