COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers (18-11-2) used the strong play of goalie Keegan Asmundson, making his debut with the Ice Flyers and an offensive onslaught from six different goal scorers to down the Columbus Cottonmouths (11-17-6) 7-0 inside the Columbus Civic Center on Saturday night.

Corey Banfield got things going 6:25 into the game with a power play goal assisted by Gehrett Sargis and Mike Krieg. Then the Ice Flyers jumped to a 3-0 lead with two goals coming 14 seconds apart from Mark Rivera, assisted by Steve Bergin and Stephen Buco, and Junior Harris, assisted by Brandon Blair. With time running out in the first, Corey Banfield scored his second of the game with less than a second remaining in the period. Adam Pawlick picked up the only assist.

The Ice Flyers' offensive onslaught continued in the second period with Stephen Buco scoring with 12:08 left in the middle frame. David Segal had the only assist on the tally. Then, almost six and half minutes later, Cody Dion scored his fourth goal of the season with 5:56 left in the second. Josh Cousineau and Harris had the helpers.
