Six Cutters to Play in All-Star Roster

The New York-Penn League has released the rosters for the league's 14th annual All-Star Game being played at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park in State College on Tuesday, August 14th.

Williamsport Crosscutters picked to play in the game for Team South are; OF Ben Aklinski, RHP Randy Alcantara, RHP Rafael Carvajal, LHP Keylan Killgore, C Rafael Marchan and 1B Edwin Rodriguez. This marks the second straight season that Alcantara will participate in the game.

The rosters consist of two players at every infield position, two catchers, six outfielders and 10 pitchers. The North Team will be comprised of players from Auburn, Batavia, Connecticut, Hudson Valley, Lowell, Tri-City, and Vermont; and the South Team will be represented by players from Aberdeen, Brooklyn, Mahoning Valley, State College, Staten Island, West Virginia and Williamsport. The Williamsport Crosscutters and Brooklyn Cyclones lead the South squad with six All-Stars apiece.

Cutters manager Pat Borders along with Williamsport coaches Christian Marerro and Kevin Martir will all be coaches on the South team under State College Spikes skipper Joe Kruzel who will manage the squad.
