Cutters Take Series From Auburn

Newly named All Star Keylan Killgore tight roped through the 9th inning, earning his 8th save in the Cutters 4-2 win over the Doubledays, taking the series in the process.

All Star Rafael Marchan finished the night 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI and a run scored. All Star Ben Aklinski finished the night 1 for 4 with an RBI double. Ben Pelletier went 1 for 3 with a sacrifice fly, giving hims his team-high 28th RBI. Jake Holmes recorded his 7th hit of the series, plating an RBI.

Francisco Morales worked four innings, allowing one unearned run on three hits and four walks while striking out four in a no decision. All Star Rafael Carvajal allowed a run on four hits on a walk and stuck out one earning the win. Austin Ross had two huge strikeouts, as he tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless baseball, striking out three in total.

Killgore retired the first two batters he faced, before allowing the next two to reach. He was able to get Kyle Marinconz to fly out deep to right field to earn his 8th save in as many opportunities. The Cutters have won back-to-back series.
