
Six Clippers Score in Double Figures to Secure Ontario a Win over Memphis

Memphis, Tenn. - January 14, 2024 - The Ontario Clippers (3-4) took down the Memphis Hustle (2-6) 126 - 119 in the first of a two-game set at Landers Center.
The Clippers opened the game strong with, Jordan Miller recording nine points in the first quarter to give the Clippers the lead 31-30. Miller added nine more in the second quarter, which went rim-to-rim with seven lead changes and each team leading by at least four throughout. Despite a strong effort from both sides, Hustle was able to grab the lead going into halftime 62-61.
The Clippers came out from halftime dominate when LA Clippers assignee Kobe Brown hi a pullup shot open the frame. In another back-and-forth quarter, Brown led the Clippers with six points, four assists and two rebounds, Djordje Jovanovic also added five points and two rebounds. The Clippers trailed by one going into the fourth quarter (94-93), but Brown and Miller took charge to secure a victory in Memphis. Ontario scored 15 consecutive points in the fourth quarter, grabbing their largest lead of the game (14). Despite Memphis responding with a 13-1 run, the Clippers were able to stay ahead and ended the game with a win, 126-119.
Jordan Miller recorded his fourth 30+ point game this season, ending the night with 30 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Kobe Brown added his first triple-double with 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. In his first game this season with the Clippers, Armoni Brooks led the second unit with 22 points, while shooting 8-of-12 from the field and 6-of-9 from the three-point line. Six Clippers total scored in double figures.
The Hustle were led by Matt Hurt's 28 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field, including 4-of-7 from three-point range. DeJon Jarreau added a huge 25-point, 12-rebound double-double in the defeat.
