Sissons Named Admirals Captain

October 9, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee Admirals announced today that forward Colton Sissons has been selected as the team's captain for the 2015-16 season.

A third-year pro, Sissons has played the past two seasons with the Admirals, recording 86 points (50g-36a), while playing in 138 games. He is the only player in the team's AHL history to score 25 or more goals in each of his first two seasons, leading the club during his rookie year with 25 tallies and equaling the same total last season. The North Vancouver, BC native was picked to play in the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic and has also skated in 17 games with the Predators.

Sissons, who was captain of the Kelowna Rockets for two seasons before turning pro, is the first forward to wear the "C" for Milwaukee since Ads legend Tony Hrkac served in that role during the 2004-05 campaign.

Wearing the "A" as alternate captains for Milwaukee will be forward Cody Bass and defenseman Coner Allen.

Sissons and the Admirals will open the regular season Saturday night, October 10 at the Allstate Arena against the Chicago Wolves. The Ads home opener is slated for Friday, October 16th at 7 pm against the Charlotte Checkers at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
