
Sioux Falls Slips Past Stampede

SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota - Mikki Moore had 21 points and Marcus Banks added 16, but the Sioux Falls Skyforce slid past the Stampede 106-103. Moore had a putback dunk with 4:07 left to tie the game at 98, but the Skyforce finished out the game 8-5 in the final 3:50. There were 19 lead changes and neither team led by more than eight.
Idaho (10-17) shot 46.9 percent for the game and 42.9 from behind the three-point line, but the team was still out-shot by the Skyforce. The home team shot 56.5 percent from the field, including an amazing 71.4 (10-of-14) from behind the three-point line and 81.8 percent (18-of-22) from the free throw line.
Seth Tarver had 14 points, Reggie Larry added 11 and the Stampede forced 24 Skyforce turnovers, which led to 19 points. Idaho made 6-of-10 three-pointers in the second half, but the Skyforce shot 13 percentage points higher than the Stampede from the field in the second half, 55.3 to 42.5 percent. The Stampede out-scored the Skyforce in points in the paint (52-28) and in second chance points (18-4).
Sioux Falls had five players score in double-figures, including 23 from Trey Gilder and 21 points and nine assists from Gabe Pruitt.
Idaho travels to Iowa to play the Energy tomorrow at 6 p.m. (MST).
