Silvertips Take Command over Raiders 6-2

Tonight the Everett Silvertips faced off against the Prince Albert Raiders and earned their 7th straight victory. Everett, taking a commanding 6-2 decision over Prince Albert, remains in first place in the US Division with 25 points and a 12-1-0-1 record. The Raiders, 4th place in the East Division, falls to 6-8-0-2 and 14 points. This was the only regular season meeting between these two clubs and the Silvertips lead the all-time series 4-0.

This was a fast paced game and Zach Hamill and Taylor Ellington led the way for the Everett victory. Both Hamill and Ellington posted two goals for the Silvertips. Taylor Ellington posted his first two regular season goals in tonight's game while Zach Hamill extended his point streak to 14 games, the longest in Silvertips' history. Also tallying markers were Peter Mueller and Brady Calla. In the assists column Mueller had two while Jason Fransoo, Jesse Smyke, Brandon Campos, Eric Doyle, Cody Thoring and Zach Dailey all posted an assist a piece.

In goal Leland Irving stopped 20/22 shots and improves his record to 10-1-0-1. For the Raiders, Tyler Esau started the match and made 18 saves on 23 shots. Esau takes the loss and sits at 1-3. Relieving him early in the third was David Aime. Aime let one more goal in on 8 Everett shots. The Silvertips out shot the Raiders 31-22.

The Everett Silvertips will resume tomorrow night, Saturday November 4th. They will battle the Regina Pats at the Brandt Center at 5pm.
