Silvertips Sweep Season Series from Blazers in 4-1 Win

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips posted 58 shots on net en route to a 4-1 home victory over the Kamloops Blazers Saturday night.

Julius Miettinen opened the scoring at 3:09 in the first period, extending his point streak to six games.

Ryan Michael answered for the Blazers with a powerplay goal at 11:48 in the second period, sending the game into the second intermission tied at one. The Silvertips outshot the Blazers 38-16 through the first two periods.

Everett's powerplay came up clutch in the third period, as goals in rapid succession while on the man advantage from Teague Patton (3:35 into the period, his 16th) and Jesse Heslop (6:05 into the period, his 11th) propelled the Tips into the lead. Austin Roest capped off the scoring at 15:49 with his 21st goal of the season, sealing a 4-1 win.

Ethan Chadwick stopped 21 of 22 in the win, his 10th of the season. Jesse Sanche turned aside 54 of 58 in the loss.

The Everett Silvertips have won all four games played against the Kamloops Blazers this season.
