Silvertips Host Inaugural "Undie Sunday" Event

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) will host a pair of community emphasized events and giveaway games the Tri-City Americans on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 7:05pm and the Kamloops Blazers on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 4:05pm in downtown Everett's Angel of the Winds Arena. Ending the weekend of events is Sunday's home game, the inaugural Silvertips "Undie Sunday" benefiting Cocoon House and Fred Meyer Food Drive designed to generate canned food items to underprivileged families.
EVENTS FOR JAN. 6:
UNDIE SUNDAY: "Leave your drawers at the doors": all fans in attendance are asked to donate one unopened package of boxers or briefs at all doors (open 3:00 p.m.) of A.O.T.W. Arena. All items donated will be collected and donated to local underprivileged, homeless, and at-risk teens across Snohomish County. Sunday's event, benefiting Cocoon House, is administered to assist in breaking the cycle of homelessness through outreach, housing, and prevention. Fans are invited to purchase tickets, starting at just $13 at the link below, with a portion of proceeds automatically generating funds covering a donation item via local Fred Meyer stores. One ticket purchased ensures a new item to an underprivileged teen in the new year.

FRED MEYER FOOD DRIVE: All fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items (example: canned soup, fruit, cereal, crackers, pasta, or bottled water), unopened from its original packaging. Collection stations will be available at the doors, opening at 3:00pm. Additional Fred Meyer Food Drive games will be administered on Jan. 11, Jan. 18, and Jan. 20.

COWBELL GIVEAWAY: Presented by Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum. The first 500 fans at the doors will receive a collectible, limited edition Silvertips branded cowbell.
SIGNATURE SATURDAY: Presented by Mountain Pacific Bank. All fans in attendance are invited to stay after the game for autographs and photos with the following Silvertips: Gage Goncalves, Ronan Seeley, Riley Sutter, and Reece Vitelli. Autograph and photo session will be stationed along the concourse of A.O.T.W. Arena, adjacent to the Budweiser Ice Box (nearby Section 115).

FAMILY FUN ZONE: Presented by The Smile Generation. All kids in attendance are encouraged to enjoy a free activity zone inside A.O.T.W. Arena, open from 3pm until the end of the second intermission. Kids are invited to enjoy bounce house activities, slides, a coloring station, floor hockey zones, and a special appearance during the afternoon by Silvertips mascot, Lincoln.
The Silvertips next face the Tri-City Americans on Friday, a 7:05 p.m. (KRKO / Tips App / WHL Live) road game at Toyota Center.
