South Bend Silver Hawks News Release
South Bend, IN - The South Bend Silver Hawks managed to split tonight's double header against the Lansing Lugnuts.
Game 1 The Lansing Lugnuts managed to hold on and win Wednesday's suspended game against the Hawks by the score of 6-2. South Bend could not comeback from the 4-0 lead that they gave Lansing the night before. Bryan Henry (1-5) took the loss for the Hawks. Henry gave up 4 runs and 6 hits in 3 innings of work.
Game 2 The Hawks had a perfect combination of hitting and pitching in game 2, as they defeated the Lugnuts by the score of 4-0. Jo Jo Batten scored in the 1st when Sean Coughlin was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. That was all the Jarrod Parker needed tonight. The Indiana native turned in his best performance of the season. Parker gave up 0 runs, 3 hits and struck out 7 in 6 innings of work. The Silver Hawks and Lugnuts will play the final game of their series on Friday. Game time is slated for 7:30 PM
