South Bend scored three runs in the top of the ninth to knock off the Snappers in a game that was delayed an hour and seventeen minutes due to rain. Beloit's starter, Eduardo Morlan, was unhittable through four innings but hit a wall in the fifth and sixth. South Bend's Ricardo Sosa started the fifth inning with a single, followed by another single by catcher Frank Curreri. Both runners scored on a two-out single by leadoff man Pedro Ciriaco. The Silver Hawks added another run in the sixth when Justin Upton walked, moved to second on a wild-pitch and scored when Trey Hendricks dumped a single into left field that was misplayed by Tarrence Patterson.
The Snappers opening the scoring in the first when Patterson, who was four for five in the game, singled and eventually scored on Paul Kelly's RBI groundout. They added single tallies in the fourth and fifth as well. Henry Sanchez doubled and scored on a double by Caleb Moore in the fourth. Andrew Thompson singled, one of his three hits, and scored on a single by Erik Lis in the fifth, raising his team-leading RBI total to thirty-three.

Adam Howard scattered ten hits over six and a third, allowing four runs while striking out seven. Kyle Wright pitched two and two-thirds innings in relief to grab the win, giving up three hits and one run. The Silver Hawks did not walk a batter all game.
