Key and Mosby Rejoin Dragons Squad

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Dragons will have a couple of familiar faces back at Fifth Third Field when the team opens a four game series with the West Michigan Whitecaps at Fifth Third Field beginning Saturday night. 3B Bradley Key and 1B/DH Bobby Mosby will join the Dragons after getting moved up from extended spring training by the Cincinnati Reds. Key had split time with the Sarasota Reds and extended spring training in '06. In seven games with the Florida State League club, Key hit .188 with one run batted in. In 2005 with the Dragons, Key, a 48th round selection by the Reds in the 2004 First Year Player Draft, hit .242 in 68 games with six homers and 31 RBI. It will be Mosby's second stint with the Dragons in '06, as the slugging first baseman / designated hitter was on the clubs opening day roster before getting sent to extended spring training on May 22nd. Mosby, originally a 25th round selection of the Reds in the 2002 First Year Player Draft hit .260 with three homers and 18 RBI in 31 games.

To make room for Key and Mosby on the Dragons active roster, 1B/3B Angel Colon and INF Yoni Lasso have been sent to Reds extended spring training in Sarasota, Florida. Colon, a 35th round pick of the Reds in 2005 hit .097 with 2 RBI in a pair of stints with the Dragons and Lasso hit .100 with a double in five games, before injuring his wrist after getting hit by a pitch at West Michigan on June 1st. With the addition of Key and Mosby, the Dragons active roster sits at 25.
