Allen Americans News Release

Denver, Colorado - The Americans announced today they have come to terms with All-Star Forward Bruce Graham, on a contract for the remainder of the 2014 season and post-season.

"Bruce Graham was a big part of our organization from day one," said Americans President Matt Canavan. "We are so excited to have him back with the Americans family. He was a huge part of his team in Europe winning a championship last year, and we are excited at what he will bring to our lineup."

Graham played with Allen for three seasons, beginning with the inaugural season of 2009. He was named a three-time All-Star in the CHL and had his best season in 2010-2011, where he scored 34 goals and 73 points in 57 games.

"Bruce is a big skilled veteran forward that is really going to help our power play," said Allen Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. "We have been playing the whole year with young forwards and adding his experience will be a big boost."

Allen will be without forward Garrett Klotz, who was suspended today for two games. The suspension will begin this afternoon in Denver.

"I had no idea Klotz even left the ice, or came back on," said Allen Americans Coach Steve Martinson. "In the league notes from Saturday night's game, it just says no category next to the penalty. I was completely unaware of any impending suspension."

The League also fined Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson an undisclosed amount of money for his lineup in the last minute of Saturday night's game in Missouri.

"We played them three times in one week and there is no love lost between the two teams. We have had several players injured in the series, and now have 5 players on the IR. In the final minutes, I told our guys that they lead the league in suspensions from injuring players. Make sure you keep your head up and be aware of who is on the ice." There were four fights with no instigator penalties called.

The Americans play the Denver Cutthroats this afternoon at 5:05 pm CST. Allen's next home game will be this Sunday afternoon against the Quad City Mallards at 4:05 pm. Tickets for all remaining regular season home games are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or call (972) 912-1000 .
