
CHL Suspends Allen's Garrett Klotz

GLENDALE, AZ (February 17, 2014) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Allen Americans forward Garrett Klotz has been suspended for two (2) games and as a result will miss this afternoon's contest in Denver and Friday's game in Wichita.
Klotz received a game misconduct and subsequent suspension for returning to the ice after being ordered off by a linesman (rule 70.6) and he also received a misconduct for "Ëcontinuing to fight' (rule 46.5). The infractions came in the final minutes of Missouri's 5-2 win over Allen on Saturday night.
Additionally, Allen Head Coach Steve Martinson has been fined an undisclosed amount of money for "Ëunprofessional and unaccepted conduct as a Coach in the CHL'.
Also, Allen goaltender Mark Guggenberger is being fined an undisclosed amount of money for making on-ice contact with the Missouri Mavericks mascot that could have caused injury. The contact happened prior to face-off and was viewed to be careless, unnecessary and avoidable.
