
Sidorov Signs Three-Year Entry-Level Contract with Ducks

Saskatoon, SK - The Anaheim Ducks announced Wednesday they've signed Saskatoon Blades forward Egor Sidorov to a three-year entry-level contract. The Ducks drafted Sidorov 85th overall in the third round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
The 19-year-old sniper led the WHL in game-winning goals (12) this season, tied for a Blades single-season record. Sidorov was the first Blade since Mark Deyell and Frank Banham in the 1995-96 season tio score 50 goals in a season, one of nine WHL players with a 50-goal season the last five years. The Vitebsk, Belarus native was tied for third in league power-play goals with 16, and scored a career-high 88 points in 66 games. In three playoff games vs the Prince Albert Raiders in Round 1, Sidorov's scored three goals and five points in his third appearance at the spring dance.
Prior to being selected by the Ducks at last year's NHL Entry Draft, Sidorov scored 40 goals and 76 points with a +25 rating in 53 games during the 2022-23 season, leading the Blades in goals and ranking second in points. The 6-foot winger also added 19 points (9G, 10A) in 16 playoff contests, helping the Blades to their first Eastern Conference Final appearance in 29 seasons.
Sidorov has 199 points (113G, 86A) with a +31 rating and 128 penalty minutes in 177 career WHL games with Saskatoon. He spent two seasons in the Belarusian Premier League from 2019-21, posting 26 goals and 51 points with 34 penalty minutes in 50 games.
