Shorebirds Game Suspended in Fourth Inning Due to Weather

Charleston, WV - The Delmarva Shorebirds game on Wednesday night against the West Virginia Power was suspended after three innings due to inclement weather with the Shorebirds leading 1-0.

The Shorebirds took an early lead for a second straight night. Wynston Sawyer drew a one out walk in the second. He advanced to third on a double down the right field line by Joel Hutter. Then, Connor Narron rolled out to short to score Sawyer.

Shorebirds starter Juan Guzman allowed just one hit over three scoreless innings.

Both teams were pulled off the field before the start of the fourth inning.

The game will be continued at 6:05pm on Thursday, June 6. Following the completion of the suspended game, the Shorebirds and Power will play a seven-inning game to complete the series.
