FOUR-GAME WINNING STREAK: The Shorebirds take a four-game win streak into game two. They have not won five in a row this season. The 'Birds won four in a row between April 9 and 12.
SEVEN STRAIGHT AT PERDUE: The Shorebirds have won seven straight games at Perdue Stadium. The seven game home winning streak is the longest of the season. Prior to the current streak, the 'Birds had only won home games in a row twice (4/19-4/20 & 5/28-5/29). The last seven game home winning streak was in 2008 between August 14 and 29. The last eight game home win streak was in 2007 (June 2 through 9).
11-GAME HIT STREAK: Kieron Pope will put his 11-game hit streak on the line in game two against the Legends. The last player to record a 12-game hit streak was L.J. Hoes in 2009 (5/7-5/20). Pope has 18 hits during the 11 games.
HAUGHIAN DEALING: In his last 27.2 innings pitched, Haughian has allowed only six earned runs. Eleven of the 14 outings during the stretch have been shutouts.
STARTING STRONG: Shorebirds starters have only allowed five earned runs during the four-game winning streak. The starters have totaled 23 innings over the last four.
ALLAR BACK ON TRACK: After two rocky outings in a row on June 7 and June 10, Brent Allar has thrown two straight scoreless outings. Allar has recorded a strikeout in 14 of his 15 relief appearances.
11 STRAIGHT: T.J. Baxter has reached base in 11 straight games for the Shorebirds.
10 STRAIGHT: Shorebirds starters have gone through the fifth inning in 10 straight games.
PERFECT 11-OF-11: Josh Dowdy is now a perfect 9-of-9 in save chances this season. In 19 outings, Dowdy has a 1.23 ERA. He leads the Orioles farm system with 11 saves.
MOREAU AMONGST THE O'S BEST: After his outstanding start last night, Moreau is now in the top five amongst Orioles minor league pitchers in several categories. He ranks third in ERA (2.98), fourth in strikeouts (61), second in opponents batting average (.207) and second in WHIP (1.14). In his last 42.1 innings, he has only allowed six earned runs.
PLAYER TO WATCH: TY KELLY
Infielder Ty Kelly went 3-for-3 last night with an RBI and two doubles. Kelly leads the Shorebirds with seven three hit games. He notched his first RBI since June 2nd. He leads the 'Birds with 30 on the campaign. Kelly has three doubles in his last two games. Kelly will bat from the right side of the plate over the next two nights. He is batting just .167 from the right. Kelly is hitting .303 when hitting from the right.
