(Eastlake, OH)--Delmarva catcher Zach Dillon had four hits, including his first as a professional, as the Shorebirds gained a split in Saturday's doubleheader against the Captains with a 9-2 win in game two.

Dillon, a 20th round selection from Baylor University, had an RBI single in the first inning as the Shorebirds scored a pair of unearned runs off Jeff Stevens (0-1) for a 2-0 lead. It was his first professional hit.

After Johnny Drennen hit a solo homer in the bottom of the first to make it 2-1, Dillon came up again in the third and drove a two-run double to left field to push the Shorebirds lead to 4-1.

Dillon singled and scored in both the sixth and the seventh as the Shorebirds extended the lead to 9-2.

Josh Potter (2-4) earned the win in relief, tossing two scoreless innings.

The Captains and Shorebirds will wrap up the series and homestand on Sunday afternoon at 2:05. The first 2,000 fans receive a Skipper wristwatch courtesy of Zeppe's. For tickets, call (440) 954-WINS.
