Rome, GA -The Rome Braves shutout the Charleston RiverDogs tonight at State Mutual Stadium 4-0 before 4,511 fans.

The Braves scored the first runs of the game in the bottom of the second inning. Jamie Romak got things started when he ripped a double to right field. Quentin Davis then followed with a base hit up the middle to score Romak. Davis later stole second base and eventually third base with Derrick Arnold batting. Arnold later reached base on a fielding error, allowing Davis to trot home and give Rome the 2-0 lead. In the fourth inning, Romak scored again for the Braves after drawing a walk, stealing second base, and later crossing home plate on a Davis drive up the middle extending the Braves lead to 3-0. Rome then added an insurance run in the seventh inning off of a homerun blast from Eric Campbell, his thirteenth of the season, to seal the victory 4-0.
