
Shorebirds April 8th Game Against Grasshoppers Postponed Due to Weather

Salisbury, Md. - The Delmarva Shorebirds game against the Greensboro Grasshoppers, scheduled for Friday, April 8, has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, April 9 at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Game one of the doubleheader will begin at 5:05 p.m. The second game of the doubleheader will begin 30 minutes following the completion of the first.
Shorebirds tickets will be honored at any of the remaining home games excluding July 3 and the 2011 South Atlantic League "Strike Out Hunger" All-Star Game on June 21.
The Shorebirds opened the season with a 2-1 win last night over the Greensboro Grasshoppers. First round pick Manny Machado hit a two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Shorebirds the lead. The Shorebirds bullpen held the 'Hoppers scoreless over the final five innings.
