Rome, GA - The Rome Braves fell to the Hagerstown Suns 2-0 Friday night before a crowd of 3,656 at State Mutual Stadium. It was the second game of the four game series.

The Rome Braves starting pitcher Caleb Brewer pitched well holding the Suns hitless for 5.2 innings before Blaine Sims came on in relief. The first run of the night came in the seventh inning when Blake Kelso of Hagerstown singled up the middle scoring Jason Martinson for the 1-0 lead.

The Suns added a run in the eighth when Bryce Harper walked and moved to second on a wild pitch. Catcher David Frietas then grounded out moving Harper to third. Hagerstown's Wade Moore then singled to score Harper for the 2-0 score.

The Braves out hit Hagerstown eight to four but couldn't push a run across the plate.

Matthew Grace earns the win for Hagerstown (1-0) while Blaine Sims takes the tough loss (0-1). Christopher Manno picks up his first save.
