Shirt Off Our Back Nets Over $13,000 For Special Olympics

MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs annual "Shirt Off Our Back" promotion netted over $13,000 for Special Olympics of New Hampshire, the team announced on Monday. Leading up to the last home game of the regular season, Monarchs fans were able to purchase $1 raffle tickets for a chance to win their favorite game-worn Monarchs jerseys. Monarchs players presented the lucky winners with their jerseys during an on-ice presentation at the conclusion of the Monarchs game against the Lowell Lock Monsters on Friday, April 15. Friday night's post game festivities also included a live auction of five road jerseys worn by left wing Dustin Brown, center Michael Cammalleri, goaltender Mathieu Garon, center Yanick Lehoux and defenseman Joe Rullier during the 2004-05 season. Proceeds from the live auction were also earmarked for Special Olympics of New Hampshire.

Kinasewich, Miles Returned On Loan To Reading: The Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, on Monday returned on loan to the Reading Royals (ECHL) rookie left wing Ryan Kinasewich and rookie center Jeff Miles.

Kinasewich, 21, has recorded eight points (2-6=8) and four penalty minutes in 29 games with the Monarchs this season. The 6-foot-2, 202-pound native of St. Albert, Alberta also has 38 points (16-22=38) and 26 penalty minutes in 43 games with the Royals this season.

Miles, 23, has recorded six points (5-1=6) and six penalty minutes in 28 games with the Monarchs this season. The 6-foot, 188-pound native of Pickering, Ontario also has 38 points (19-19=38) and eight penalty minutes in 37 games with the Royals this season.

Kinasewich and Miles are expected to join the Royals in Toledo, Ohio. Both are also expected to skate in Game 4 of the Royals North Division Semifinal series against the Toledo Storm at the Sports Arena on Tuesday night. The Royals lead the series, 2 games to 1.

2005 Calder Cup playoff tickets for the Monarchs are on sale now at the Verizon Wireless Arena box office. Tickets for the Monarchs Conference Quarterfinals match-up with the Providence Bruins, scheduled to begin on Friday, April 22 at 7:35 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena, may also be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (603) 868-7300, or by visiting Ticketmaster on-line at www.ticketmaster.com. Fans can also purchase tickets for the Conference Quarterfinals at all Ticketmaster locations, including Filene's at the Mall of New Hampshire.
