Wolves Battle Aeros in West Division Semifinal

The Chicago Wolves begin their 11th playoff season in 11 years when they face the Houston Aeros in a best-of-seven series beginning at Allstate Arena on Tue., April 19, at 7 p.m., and Thu., April 21, at 7 p.m.

Games 3 and 4 will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston on Sat., April 23, at 7 p.m., and Sun, April 24, at 5 p.m.

If necessary, the Aeros will also host Game 5 on Tue., April 26, at 7 p.m., and the Wolves will host Game 6 on Thu., April 28, at 7 p.m., and Game 7 on Sat., April 30, at 7 p.m.

The top-seeded Wolves posted a 5-3-1-1 mark against the fourth-seeded Aeros this season. Chicago has faced Houston three times in the playoffs, winning two of those series on its way to claiming the championship.

The Wolves bested the Aeros, 4-games-to-2, in the 2000 Western Conference Final before winning the International Hockey League's Turner Cup, and 4-games-to-1 in the 2002 conference final en route to claiming the American Hockey League's Calder Cup. Chicago fell, 4-games-to-3, in the 1999 conference final, the year Houston won the Turner Cup.
